101 Things: Massive update, goals completed & in progress
Are you guys ready for this? I haven't updated this list in FOREVER and I have crossed off quite a few goals, as well as started some other ones!
#006: Start knitting again.
A goal that is in progress. I had started a skinny scarf earlier this year and decided to pick it up again a few weeks ago. I was going through a hard time and just needed to zone out ... I'd forgotten how meditative knitting could be. Hopefully, I can finish this scarf and get into learning patterns, as I still have a Thing to knit 3 pairs of leg warmers!
#020: Wear an 18th century dress (reproduction or otherwise).
Hit this one out of the park! I wore TWO 18th century dresses/outfits for the photoshoot, which is another Thing later on in the list.
#021: Get a real corset.
My corset from Damsel in this Dress is technically a real corset, so bing! I need to change some Things so I think I will change one of them to, "Get a real pair of stays."
#034: Graduate college.
#035: Graduate college with honors.
I received my diploma today ... CUM LAUDE BITCHES!!!! Thanks to the 3 A's I got over the summer it put me at a cumulative GPA of 3.31 ... Suffolk's honors system is cum laude at 3.3. I was really, really sad that I wasn't going to do it, but I did!!!
#060: Visit the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.
#061: Visit the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.
I was able to complete both of these when I was in D.C. back in January for the academic seminar and inauguration. I think I still owe snappyappy a post on how awesome D.C. was ...
#065. Attend a pirate festival/convention.
#066. Create a pirate name and persona.
Back in June, I attended the New England Pirate Faire in Gloucester, in costume, and with a pirate name and persona! My pirate name is Arabella Swann (sometimes I change the last name to Bishop, after Arabella Bishop after Olivia DeHaviland's character in one of my favorite pirate movies, Captain Blood, also starring the delicious Errol Flynn), and she is a saucy, sassy wench! The costume is being worked on in bits and pieces, I need to get a couple of long skirts, skirt hikes, maybe hip scoops/panniers if it's accurate, belts, my own tricorn and weaponry, blah blah blah. :D
#071: Begin making jewelry.
This has become one of my biggest passions and pasttimes. I fucking LOVE making jewelry, whether from scratch or upcycling/recycling old jewelry that I don't wear or use anymore. #072 is "Keep up with making jewelry," and while I have been, I want to make sure I'm really sticking with it for a while longer.
#073: Open an Etsy shop.

Yesterday afternoon, I had my first sale! I was SO EXCITED about it, as I wasn't sure if I would EVER sell anything. Only 2 more sales to go ...

Phew! That felt good! And now to keep working on the other ones ...
