Nick could feel the rain hitting his head and face like pins and needles. It was twenty degrees outside, but all that Nick wanted was to walk in the rain and get his mind off of things that were weighing his mind down more than the rain water was weighing his clothes down to his body.
He couldn’t believe what had just happened. Nick felt like his whole world was coming down around him, he felt like he had lost his entire world in the span of two minutes. He couldn’t belive that she had actually walked out on him. After two whole years of nothing but love from Nick, she walked out on him for some stupid underwear model. Nick didn’t know what this guy had that he didn’t have. He knew that the new guy would never love her the way that he did, and it broke his heart to see her walk out the door.
Nick finally reached the spot where they had had their first kiss almost a year ago to the day. He leaned up against the tree and slid down until he was sitting on the cold, wet ground. He buried his face in his hands, and eventually it came to the point where he couldn’t tell if it was rain or tears running down his face.
