Hugh Jackman in concert!
Went to see Hugh Jackman live in concert here in Toronto today. I was an amazing show - he is SO talented. You wouldn't think a man who makes such a fantastic Wolverine would also be able to sing his heart out like that. He's really one of the most diverse actors I've ever seen. I still find it such a shock that he's never made a movie-musical (though he said during the show he's in talks to star in the movie-musical version of Les Miserables).
I really love these big band shows like him and Michael Buble and how even though they are playing to hundreds of people each night, they make it still feel so intimate and like you're in a small lounge like back in the old days of the Rat Pack, etc. It's such a great experience!
Best of all on top of this -- I met him and he hugged me!!! Even better than that - my mom met him and was SO excited. I don't think I've ever seen my mom that giddy and excited in my life. It was the cutest thing. She just kept saying "that was awesome!" - such a squee-ing fangirl at heart - now I know where I get it. ;)
All in all - HP7, Hugh Jackman... fantastic weekend. :D
