Day 13 - A guilty pleasure

For this, I think I will have to forgo putting a poster, because really, what's most a "guilty pleasure" for me - as evidenced by my watching that god-awful Wimbledon movie again on the weekend is...

Any movie starring Paul Bettany or Alan Rickman

To be more precise I can give you a list of movies I have watched and/or re-watched solely due to these two British gentleman and their differing characteristics that drew me in (eyes and voice respectively):

Paul Bettany:

A Knight's Tale - The first time I watched it because mine sister and mom said it was entertaining, then after I discovered my crush on Paul Bettany I watched it, re-watched it and stole my brother's copy of it (okay, so he actually gave it to me when I asked if I could have it, but I prefer "stole" because it sounds more schemey).  I watched it a couple times...and the making of features... and the extended scenes... Alas, those were my young'un fictional character/actor loving days of about 3-4 years ago. :P

Wimbledon - As I already mentioned horrible movie (blech Kirsten Dunst is in it and she's not Mary Jane or a young'un-vampire, of course that can't be good! :P ), but his pretty blue eyes just looked so sparkly and pretty!

Firewall - I just watched this recently and though the first half was alright (and I quite enjoyed Indy - er...I mean Harrison Ford... lol - running around yelling about how he wants his family back, much like Family Guy said), the end just got ludcriously dumb.  But with sparkly-blue eyed British man around, did I care?  I cared very little! :P

Alan Rickman
It might just be easiest to say "Any movie that's not a Harry Potter movie" - but let's face it, even those I stuck to because of Alan Rickman and his voice getting all up in my subconscious when I was 4-5 years old and saw Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves in the theatre (in all honesty all I remember about that movie is being scared of that old witch lady and thinking the booster seat in the car was going to magically turn into her somehow... o_O haha!)

Sense and Sensibility - I don't really care for Jane Austen's books all that much (which is blasphemy to many girls, I know).  I tried reading this and just couldn't do it - possibly because I tried after having watched the movie and kept thinking "I don't even get the satisfaction of hearing Alan Rickman's awesome voice...what's the point of this?!" and decided I should just watch it instead!

Blow Dry - Such a crappy movie, but it was on TV and I was like enh, why not?

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - I really disliked this movie (geek-blaspheming this time, but that girl with the big lemur eyes...she's just so annoying!).  Again, on TV, nothing else was on, so I just started watching - plus he only did a VOICE in the movie and wasn't even starring in it, so that works out even better! :P

Love Actually - This one I actually forced myself to (1) go to our Herd sleepover whilst sick (2) stay up during the movie to watch - only to be disappointed by what an adulterous jerk he was!  How dare Professor Snape cheat on Professor Trelawney like that!

Perfume - This movie was so horribly disgusting in so many ways, but once again - Alan Rickman's in it, so I watched it!  Oh how I wish I could unwatch it.... *shudder*

In short - I have watch a lot of crap because of these two. :P
