Happy Anna Howard Shaw Day!

Feb 14, 2011 13:42

Anna Howard Shaw, born on Feb. 14th,  was a woman's suffrage leader in the US! But I'm sure you all knew that. Wikipedia claims that "Her birthday is a widely celebrated holiday in the United States, Anna Howard Shaw Day."

I'm thinking that her favorite colors must have been pink and red and she was fond of heart-shapes and roses? Just wild speculation, since that's all I ever see on AHSD.

Anyways, I had a fun day today. I always like fun little holidays like this, no matter what their celebrating, because everyone is in a much more up-beat mood. Also, the rain broke today (finally) and doesn't seem to be coming back (finally) and the temperature is on the rise! (finally!) Whether you have a significant other or not, I hope you got some cards and maybe some candy!
