Everyone goes south, every now and then...
Haha, two weeks ago I had no job and now I have two jobs. The plant nursery needs someone, temporarily, to come in and do some watering. Don't know how long "temporarily" entails, whether it be a few days or a few weeks, but hey. Not like I'm doing anything else.
And the coffee shop? Is, dare I say, fun. Of course, since I'm in training, I'm only in for three hours at a time so far, but it doesn't seem to drag on, even when we're going slow.
AND I made a cafe latte ALL BY MYSELF! ^__^ Extracted espresso and steamed the milk and everything. Yes, there is an art to it, and my manager, Alicia, said that it was "pretty good". Considering she drank some of it, I'll believe her.
Another plus, Kendrick will make his next start. Guys, I can't even begin to tell you how distraught I was when I saw him get hit by the ball. He took one step and dropped straight to the ground, and the look on his face just brought tears to my eyes.
Google Alerts are wonderful things, because sometimes you get GEMS which otherwise you would never find. This , I guess blog entry, is written by an obviously less-than-sane Phillies fan and is hilarious, not for the content (him being at Veterans Stadium for the filming of the "Chicks Dig the Longball" commercial, and his uh, interaction, with MadduxandGlavine), but just the tone in which he describes the event. WHICH HAPPENED TEN YEARS AGO SHUT UP THIS IS WHY EVERYONE THINKS WE'RE UNHINGED. Good God.
I finally bought a Baseball's Best 24-hour pass the other night. I highly recommend it. Getting to watch all the classic World Series/postseason/record-setting games you want for 3 bucks is definitely worth it. I partook in some 91 Game 7 action, and 92 Game 6 action. Watching the Braves lose the World Series twice in one day chased the blues away after the Phillies got shut out 12-0.
Oh, and, you know you want to come see the R-Phils. Where else do you get to see the ostrich-riding Crazy Hot Dog Man? Nowhere.
One last thing: Marry, Fuck, Kill Plz to entertain me (and possibly yourself).
