I got the green light, I got a little fight, I'm gonna turn this thing around...

Well look at that, I'm still here! You can thank blinding_voip, who in a desperate attempt to get me to stay, bought me a gift of a 6-month paid account and now I have to like, honor it and shit. Guys with free accounts, is it really that hard to live with 6 icons? That's what it's really about y'know. I would gladly stay on LJ if I knew how to deal with the aspect of only 6 icons. Help meeee.

Had my second day of training today, got to watch a video about coffee and got free breakfast! So not too bad! I still am uncharacteristically shy around my coworkers and the customers but I think I did better than the first day so...baby steps, y'know.

Oh the Marlins. Officially eliminated but nevertheless loveable. ish. At times. Aw heck. They suck but you can tell that they have clearly-not-sucking potential.

Ricky's getting shut down for the year. Actually that's an awesome thing since the Marlins are eliminated and I don't want to see him get overworked and possibly go the way of JJ or Anibal because of it. I just luff Rick, is all. I guess I just kind of want to see him right himself, because he shows it, he does, that he has what it takes, given the time. There's next year though, it's just so far away!

Hermy lol. Oh Jeremy. I'm glad you consider them your friends. Really. A positive attitude is a great thing to have. When you don't have friends.

"Well, he really doesn't control who comes and who goes, does he?'' Olsen said of Samson on Sunday. "As far as I'm concerned it's the general manager, assistant general manager and owner who do that. "The team president, I don't know what the hell he does. He tries to find a stadium. I don't think he actually has a top hand in the on-field personnel. I think that's (GM Larry) Beinfest and (assistant GM Mike) Hill and (owner Jeffrey) Loria way before him.''

Scotty. You want out of Florida, don't you? Don't think they'll be nice enough to send you to San Fran so you can go see your BFF again.

But I do find interview with him from the other day interesting, after some of the Fishes visited the Walter Reed Medical Center. Scotty certainly has a way of expressing himself.

-And finally, from the Marlins.com notes:
Anibal Sanchez, who had shoulder surgery a few months ago, became a father exactly one year to the day of his no-hitter. On Sept. 6, 2006, Sanchez no-hit Arizona. On Thursday, Sanchez's wife, Yeliceth, had a boy.
That is like...overload of ♥♥♥s

-If the Phillies actually had the same amount of talent as their YouTubing fans, the Mets would actually have some consistent competition.

-This means like...less than nothing to non-Phils fans, but Sunday was the 10-year mark since Richie Ashburn's passing. If I said I didn't start welling up within minutes of the segment on him on the weekly Behind the Pinstripes program, I'd be lying. I know the Phillies are like, the Worst Team Ever (TM) and fill my summer with nothing but empty promises and I know I can bitch about them as much as the day is long, but it's guys like Whitey who make me proud to say that I'm a Phillies fan. My childhood was far from wonderful, and I can honestly say that my fondest memories of that time were watching Phillies games, with Harry and Whitey calling them, and even typing this right now is making me a bit verklempt.

/sentimental.

I'll talk about the Saturday game with ayrdaomei in my next entry. I hope to anyway. It was goodtimes. :)

ETA: I want to make fun so bad but. I can't, it's sweet of him. In his lol-worthy David-like way, of course. I think I'm just lol that he went with HoJo and is sitting in the firetruck like a 6-year old. He probably wanted to slide down the pole and pet the dalmation too.

if wishes were fishes..., el jay, david wright: mets kiss-ass, teh phullies, work
