Yes, I'm still alive.
I got my LEARNER'S PERMIT on the first try. What's even more amazing is that I went 15-15 right away, didn't even get one wrong (you have to answer 15 of 18). And yes it's a big deal to me because it took me FIVE TRIES the first time around. It was harder actually going through all the BS to take the test (taking the physical, going up to Reading, oh you need this this and this ID!, and WE DON'T TAKE CASH but we don't tell you that until you get to the desk!) than taking the test itself.
I've been out three times already and going out tomorrow too.
Since the Phillies pretty much make me want to curl into a ball and die, let's talk about Chase Utley, who doesn't. Okay? Okay.
-So Thursday I went to my last RPhils game of the season, and when I get there, before the game? They announce that Chase Utley (and Adam Eaton but no one cares about him) would be rehabbing there Friday's doubleheader, and Saturday. Sob. Chase never played in Reading either, when he was coming up to through the system, so it's even more of a big deal. I am extremely upset about not being able to go, equipped with a "The Vengabus Stops in Reading!" sign.
-In light of all the Michael Vick hubbub, I read an article from my Google Alerts that Chase and his wife Jen have been paying over 3000 dollars to help pay for the surgery and recovery of a puppy from West Philly who was severely tortured by a bunch of jackasses. (The video accompanying the article is sorta disturbing at parts so I'm not gonna link to it). Yeah, that's chump change for the Utleys but it's as Mastercard would say, priceless for the pup. Yay :)
-But for something much more positive, and also involving Chase Utley, the first video on the side on this page is a clip about a family from the area who named their new twins Chase and Ryan, and baby!Chase&Ryan got a chance to go down to CBP and meet their namesakes. It kinda burns with cuteness.
-There was a misreport that Tom Brady and Bridget Moynahan named their new baby boy Gregory Ethan Brady. There is a list of names you should not name your child if your last name is Brady, even if you are a 3time Super Bowl Champ. That is one of them. I'm kinda sad it's a misreport, I would've totally enjoyed the chance to bust on Brady. And here I figured they'd name it Peyton.
And I totally had a dream someone wrote Michael Bourn/Jason Bourne. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? :(
In closing, I'm sort of thinking about not leaving ElJay, but at the same time, I already made my big fancy announcement, so it's really shitty of me to turn around on my word. Plus, six icons? Meh. Unless I use Semagic and just post everywhere. I don't even know. The only thing I'm 100 percent on is no more money going to ElJay.
