Brand new external hard drive. Not long into using it, attack of the filesystem error. Okay, maybe it was mounted/writing when I unplugged it (though I coulda...sworn it wasn't), that happened to Blake once when he lost power. fsck will fix this!
Drive will now mount, but fsck gave some ominous errors. I ran (well, am running, this is a terabyte drive) badblocks, and it's finding a fair amount of bad sectors and still has drive left to scan.
Hard drives are one of those will either die quickly due to initial fail or much later when they actually age sorts of things, so I am thinking return while in warranty may be in order.
Argh, and argh again. Badblocks is finding more stuff as I type this >_>.
(edit) Still not done, but the list of bad sectors is now longer than Terminal will let me scroll back (and I forgot to tell badblocks to output to a file, whoops). Iiiit's RMA time.
