I think I may have to retract my original assessment of
Valley of the Dolls. It has gotten better as a cultural reference since I watched it.
Exhibit A: a guild mate of mine has a Horde alt named Neely, spelled that way. A blood elf, to be exact. For those not familiar with the game, blood elves are vain, selfish, and given to melodrama.
And every time she's mentioned, I can't help but think, "My name is Neely! Neely O'Hara!"
