Just another Friday...
Black Friday. Day of crazy sales and 50% off savings. Waiting in lines and searching for parking spaces. Grandma up at 4:30... me rolling over at 11. I sat this Black Friday out. Just couldn't do it. Not that much saving in the world to get me up at 4:30 in the morning! Grandma cleaned up nicely...even though I'm not allowed to see what she bought. Cross your fingers my camcorder is somewhere amongst the ribbons and bows. Honestly just happy to see grandma without a black eye. She's all about the sales...she is not against dropping kicking someone for a good deal. I've stopped counting the times I've heard "it's on sale, you'll learn to like it." Friends blame her for my cheap ways.
She went back today...with the 24-year-old. I sat down with my grandmother and brothers tonight and told them how I was feeling. They have to understand that I don't have a problem with her being here but I don't appreciate being left out of the loop. If she's going to be here, fine. I just need a heads up. It's a respect factor. My grandmother felt by not telling me, she was saving me from worrying...I worry more when she comes unexpected. The unexpected brings drama. Glad we talked and got everything out in the open. Also gave me a heads up for Christmas. We're planning on going to Atlanta... Houston isn't that far. Chance we might see her...and the 24-year-old.
Gotta start thinking about my 'I realize' entry. Should be a short one this year. Look for that Thursday...maybe early Friday morning.
