Movies & Sick

Apr 01, 2009 14:26

So, I'm sick and I got the rest of the week off. So, yay to such a great beginning for my Spring Break. ><

On other news, I watched two movies this weekend and I'd like to share my thoughts.

Repo! The Genetic Opera
Spoilers-ish (Not really... This one is pretty 'clean' which is kind of a pun, considering the film...) )

film, rant, sick

About Repo!: haha evil!Giles = SO SO SO HOT. His voice was just...delicious. :D Same with the Graverobber. ::happy shudder::
I'm afraid I'd have to disagree about Alexa Vega = I thought she was an annoying and TERRIBLE singer --> at least until her last song. Then she seemed somewhat decent.
But HOMG I agree that those brothers were totally terrible! :D

Repoman/Giles and the Graverobber were both really hot..

And Alexa Vega, well, sometimes she seemed annoying. But considering her age and her acting, as well as singing, experience, I think she did a good job. I thought she fit the character rather well. I'm going to watch it again soon, I'll probably end up paying more attention to her singing talents rather than 'omg, why do you look like that crazy bitch, Amy Lee?' XD!

The brothers, I don't know what it was, but they were more than terribly! Especially the one with the mask, his name escapes me, but dear lord.. Horrible! They could have found such better actors for the parts. I was pretty disappointed by them.

But all in all, I enjoyed the movie. I just didn't take it too seriously, if I had, I probably would have despised it, O.o

Repo! is such a trip. The movie didn't quite flow right in a lot of places, IMO, because I think it's probably better suited for stage. But the experience of watching it is still quite memorable; it definitely left an impression on me, regardless if I never did quite figure out if I liked it. XD

And Tin Inch Hero--*sigh* I loved the movie too, but YES, I had the same WTF!rage for issue with Priestly forcing himself to assimilate to get the hot girl. It just felt wildly unfair to the character, especially since he gave such great encouragement towards being true to yourself.

On the plus side, UNEXPECTEDLY NEKKID!Daneel Harris was UNEXPECTED AND NEKKID, so...that was quite an interesting experience! XD

Not to mention it was wonderful to see Molly, Audrey, Connor, and Dean all on in one movie. ^_^IAWT SOOOOOO MUCH. That was actually one of my main reasons for watching it--I was beyond psyched that Connor and Dean would be in a film together, and I could delude myself into thinking Sean Patrick Flanery and Jensen Ackles were having ( ... )

But the experience of watching it is still quite memorable; it definitely left an impression on me, regardless if I never did quite figure out if I liked it. XD <-- Exactly! Ah, I just didn't know how to put it, but you hit the nail on the head. Awesome.

Priestly's sudden change still pisses me off. It's just so ridiculous and makes every passionate word he said completely insignificant.

The naked Daneel Harris was most definitely unexpected. I was watching it with my mom and my sister and we all went 'Whoa! .. Wait.. WHY?!' We're not big on sex scenes in movies and the film was going so well, we all liked it, and then BAM! Gratuitous sex scene. I was actually disappointed that they put it in.. Although, she is hot as hell. What a body! O.o

Have you ever seen this video? Yeah, one of my favorites.. I crave a good SPN/BDS crossover myself. It'd be badass. And I would also like to say that I too pictured Sean Patrick Flanery and Jensen Ackles having a conversation about their characters and how similar they are, etc. It'd be like a ( ... )
