Long Podfic Resource Post

Hello All! Opalsong here!

Recording long podfic (whatever that means to you) can be a daunting task. This post is a collection of resources that might be able to help make that giant fic that you love look feasible to podfic!

1) Even though I'm sure the links are everywhere, links to the Blanket Permission and Blanket No Permission pages on fanlore.

2) KD_Heart, Dr_Fumbles_McStupid, & I published a podcast about this very topic for PodAware. It is chock full of awesome tips and tricks for recording long podfic. It can be found HERE

3) podfic_tips is still active and has lots of great advice on all sorts of podfic topics

4) A specific post from there I found helpful was Create Chaptered Audiobooks on a PC! (obviously if you ware on a Mac this is not as helpful)

5) Forvo, Audio Eloquence, or an alternate online pronunciation guide/dictionary is a great source to have on hand for when the author gets verbose.

6) Your friendly neighbourhood mod Opalsong. I'm always happy to talk long podfic with people. Feel free to tweet at me (I'm Opalsong over there too) or DM me on either LJ or DW (Also Opalsong there) and I'll happily help you out.

I'm sure that this doesn't even come close to all the resources about or for long podfic out there. If you have something that you find helpful leave a comment and I'll update this post!

Happy Podficcing!!
