I'm reccing on calufrax this week, and given that this week is pod_aware week as well, I thought it might be a nice idea to record all the stories I recced (once I've got the author's permission). I've asked the mods for permission to put links to my podfics in each of the posts I make this week, but I only did that moments ago. Anyway, hopefully that will happen. ( Read more... )

i thought i'd post all the things i did this week in one big splurge, both at ampplificathon and on some doctor who community or other, but i don't like to overspam... which is probably a bit silly because there's v little who podfic out there (to my knowledge) so perhaps it would make it seem like a groovier place to be if there was.

anyway! i am excited you are excited (and a little anxious, now, to tell the truth that you might HATE IT NOW AFTER THE ENTHUSIASM BESS NOOO - i tried to remove background noise and it sounded [in some cases more] like it was underwater, so i un-did that, and also... i speak quick and stuff), but yes, i would love a cover, as would neveralarch, i'm sure. would really really like an album cover for the whole calufrax reccing series, but equally i could do that myself (badly).

Oh that makes sense, then. But yes, you are correct, NOT ENOUGH WHO PODFIC!

No like I DO NOT THINK YOU UNDERSTAND MY LOVE FOR THIS FIC! Me and Graham and Alex have had EXTENDED DISCUSSIONS IRL about the amazingness of this fic, I just remember it from the best_enemies fic meme, I had no idea that neveralarch wrote it! Graham had even talked about podficcing it himself! (Except he's totally a lazy arse and probs will never get around to it, so it's a good thing you did ;) )

I shall get on creating you some covers, then! :D I have nothing to do tomorrow (today) except the casting meeting with Erin & co. (OH HOLY SHIT I SAID I WOULD DO THAT AT 8 AM MY TIME DIDN'T I, THAT IS IN LIKE FOUR HOURS OH DEAR), so hopefully I shall be able to get them done without TOO much delay.

(Also, yes, thank you, I feel MUCH better than the other day, the cold is in the waning stages now and I am back to my normally bouncy self! PLUS I STILL HAVE DELICIOUS WAFFLES)

erin tells me they are not delicious at all...

but otherwise, hooray!

not sure if she knows that the meeting is definitely going ahead at that time, btw, though it seems like there was a sort of general consensus. so it might be worth sending a confirmation email if not done already, just to be sure :)

(also as a general rule if something is v awesome on the anon meme is is an over 50% chance that neveralarch wrote it, for she is v good at writing and prolific also).

bess, bess, bess... i have at LEAST two shoebox icons (i did have more, but i think they have fallen by the wayside in my quest for ever more pictures of the doctor)(i think it is just these two now, yes). v impressed you recognised the quote though. i don't think i would have done out of context.

and four hours ago is fine. i have not talked to erin since then, so that is cool. i did say 'if not already'.

anyway, i must now advise you to SLEEP (if not doing so already).

NO NO KATY YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW DEEPLY, *DEEPLY* INVESTED IN THAT FIC I WAS. I spent a very formative summer of my teenage years being fairly exclusively immersed in Shoebox fandom! I AM PRETTY SURE I RECOGNIZE EVERY RECOGNIZABLE QUOTE FROM IT IN OR OUT OF CONTEXT! And now I am crying because all of my other Shoebox icons have been gotten rid of by now and that is sad.

AND NOW I AM GOING TO SLEEP BECAUSE OH GOD I'M CRYING ABOUT ICONS. SLEEEEEP. I NEEDS IT.
