aaaah! yes! It just tracks so blatantly on these terrible homophobic narratives. It's not Cain's gender presentation or sexual identity that are the problem for me, it's that there's no other representation of someone like her so it ends up reinforcing awful stereotypes, even if it's clearly meant to challenge the lack of representation. I'm just as skeptical of the presentation of Six, as well; that awful biphobic stereotype that people just fake same-sex attraction to get something out of it; and, of course, also a mass murderer (involved in the genocide and then blows up Cloud 9). And they are so well-matched and have such an interesting dynamic, but since they are it as far as lesbian relationships go, the implications are awful.

I haven't actually caught the webisodes.....and I just now thought to check hulu because I am so spoiled by Netflix, but there they are so I MAY BE BACK WITH THOUGHTS.

I almost thought they just embraced the predictability with Kendra; I mean, it's a flashback and we haven't seen her before, so it was just a question of how she got to be who she was, and I almost enjoy that more than wondering what's going to happen. More dread than suspense, and that fits the whole Pegasus situation. But she was a great foil for Lee and for Kara, and I for sure enjoyed her story while it lasted.

....I only thought there was the one series of webisodes, huh. I don't think these are the ones with Gaeta, those don't seem to be until later.
