Team America

Today I visited my local fuel reservoir.  I had noticed the price of gas depreciating in the last few weeks, but I haven't needed to fill up in quite a while - you are correct in your assumption that I have nowhere to go because I have no friends.  Imagine my surprise when the pump stopped and I gazed my eyes upon the resulting total.

I did double take.  O_o

Then I did a triple take.  o_O

Was this number right?  I wouldn't want to be stealing petrol.  I ended up paying less than $30 for a full tank of gas.  It's been so long since this has last happened, I was truly astonished.  Having bargained with the devil in the last few months, $50-60 per tank now seems so ridiculous in comparison.  The initial increase in price was like the start of a roller coaster: slow and painful.  And the analogy can now be completed with the abrupt drop being quite hasty and shocking.  Pleasant, but nevertheless, shocking still.

So...does this mean America won the war?  To be quite honest, I'm not even sure what the conflict was about.  Terrorism?  Oil?  Democracy?  The propaganda, rumors, and conspiracy theories surrounding the events have muddled fact into fiction and fiction into myth.  Frankly I don't really care what started the dissension as long as it's over now.  Too bad we couldn't have saved some of those trillions of dollars into helping the economy now.
America fuck yeah!  Coming again to save the motherfucking day yeah!
