Directions for Saturday
I wanted to post some quickie directions for those who haven't been to Arclight before and to point out a sorta "shortcut" to getting into the parking garage.
Going down Sunset Blvd if you turn left at Gower St. (there's a Denny's on the corner) and then turn right on De Longpre Ave. Go straight on De Longpre past Vine St. Just past the McDonald's is the rear entrance to the parking garage. The theater validates for 4 hours for $2 with your admission ticket so I'm not entirely sure how this is going to work with our pre-paid ticket thing. I'll have to ask at the desk, especially since I bought 10 tickets. If I remember correctly they'll just hand out a ticket that has the purchase info on it for the parking.
Now as a precaution the 101 tends to be pretty crappy on a Saturday afternoon so I'd suggest checking the traffic early. I'm carpooling straight from curry so depending on what the traffic is like I might take surface streets all the way or part of the way in. Cesar Chavez turns into Sunset Blvd not too far outside of downtown LA but it's a bit of a circular route around to Hollywood.
