mcwonthelottery: how's home?
how was anne marie
sorry
that
is more important
what was i thinking
pocky_slash: Hahahaha
Home is fine.
Anne-Marie was wonderful.
The production itself did not super impress me.
There were some good actors, but there was some shitty ones too and the sound design was TERRIBLE. The costumes were weird too.
Ethan Hawke, whom I've seen on stage two or three times before, was...kind of...not BAD, but not great and kind of weird.
Like, I don't know how much of that was him and how much of it was direction. He was a particularly immature and skittish Macbeth.
Anne-Marie and Malcolm and Macduff and...oh, what's his name.
BANQUO.
They were great.
The witches were great, as much as it pains me to say, since the director was like, "i'm going to be ~*edgy*~ and cast men as the witches, because it's not like there are only two other speaking parts for women in this play."
But ANNE-MARIE WAS FABULOUS and I spent like, half her scenes staring at her bare back and bare shoulder blades and half her scenes staring at her face.
She's even prettier in person.
And she called me darling and touched my shoulder and shook my hand.
And I can't marry her and that's awful.
