Let's see if we can do a quick update while I'm waiting for mcwonthelottery to get home so we can go grocery shopping.
I am like, way behind on that meme I started a month ago. Whoops.
- Yesterday there was a major Verizon fiber optic cable cut in Boston and our office was without internet/intranet/phones/etc all day. Instead of sending us home, they kept us in the office, basically unable to work, until almost 3pm. So that was useful. I did get some Photoshopping and writing done on brilligspoons' laptop, though.
- Our Night Vale dog park cubicle continues apace. We just need a few more signs.
- This weekend's Night Vale birthday party is gonna be excellent, even with only seven people in attendance. I'm pretty excited about the food.
- My boss came back from vacation today and it was only half as awful as I imagined, though I'm sure it will get worse once she catches up on what she missed.
- I still feel exhausted all the time. I'm not sure how much of it is the pneumonia and how much of it is the depression. I'm also still coughing.
- I really want to make a circle skirt? But bits of it seem hard. idk. I randomly decided this today at work. I haven't sewn in years. We'll see what happens.
- Writing is writing. I've started a new thing. We'll see how it goes. It's...really, really sad. Which is unlike me. Also, I need to iron out exactly what I want to do for SM. I THINK I've got something, but it will probably be kind of short? (Well over 1000 words, but for the past two SMs I've written multiple 10k+ stories, so....I feel guilty when I do less than that now, because I'm crazy.)
- In five weeks and two days I will be on a plane to see ivy_rat and pearlo!
- I snagged tickets to a preview screening of The Book Thief and expect to lose my shit entirely, given how the trailers keep making me sob openly.
- I think that's it.
