Hello, internet. I'm standing on a train that's not moving, typing this one-handed in an attempt to keep from keeling over from exhaustion. This week cannot be over fast enough.

So, I went to the bookstore last night to buy a present and they had the new Olivia. I have to admit I was skeptical. The cover was an un-Olivia-y teal and pink and I didn't love Olivia Goes to Venice. But I stood there and read it and IT WAS AMAZING. omg. So funny and Olivia-y and, long story short, I bought it, then stood in the kitchen and read parts of it to mcwonthelottery and then read it over video chat to liveonthesun.

So. Go read it, internet. Right now.

Last night I had the most telling dream. Seriously. I was in some kind of group fan chat for a movie that McAvoy, Anne-Marie, and Fassbender were doing together. And it was being livestreamed or something? We were all watching it for the first time together, but it was definitely on a teevee, so who knows? Dreams, right?

ANYWAY. I was in this chat with all these other fans and god knows why, since I think we all know my opinions on this fandom's RPF. And, somehow, no one knew anything about this movie. Nothing had leaked, but there were all these rumors that McAvoy and Fassbender played lovers and people were freaking out.

So, the movie starts and it's the vaguely-fantasy-ish epic where Anne-Marie is most assuredly the star, playing this super kickass queen who can also do magic and swordfight and stuff. And McAvoy plays her consort/good-natured but kind of clumsy sidekick and they are 100% obviously and adoringly in love. And Fassbender essentially plays the court jester. And I'm in this chat basically screaming my joy over how perfect and wonderful and great McAvoy and Anne-Marie are, while everyone else is like, "Guys, no, McAvoy and Fassbender are looking at each other in this scene, they're so in love." But really, Anne-Marie and McAvoy are just staring adoringly at each other the entire time during the few scenes they have with Fassbender.

eta: Oh, and I forgot to mention, Fassbender used a terrible American accent on and off.

I...like, seriously, my brain could not make a more obviously wish-fulfillment scenario. This is grade-school level metaphor here. It's not even a metaphor, because Anne-Marie is queen of my heart. I woke up hugely disappointed that this isn't a thing that actually exists and won't exist because McAvoy and Anne-Marie won't work at the same time anymore so someone is always there to watch the baby.

I also woke up thirty-five minutes after my alarm went off, having slept through it for half an hour solid. Whoops.

Okay, I wrote all that on the train and now I'm at work and I have actual work to do, so I'm going to post this and move on with my life. I hope you guys have a better day than I've been having so far, perfect dream notwithstanding.

anne-marie duff: queen of my heart, olivia, i suppose i'll make a fassbender tag, books, dreams, mcavoy has a stupid goober face
