There's this scent that I associate with the pool that reminds me very much of summer. It's not the scent of chlorine, but rather the way that the concrete and the fake!wood of our deck smell like when wet. My dad powerwashed the house today, so the entire outside smells like that AND it's nearly seventy degrees. Unfortunately, my dad is having the pool redone before we open in for the year, so it won't be until June that we open it. Tragic.

So, now that I've almost entirely caught up on Doctor Who, I think I'd try and catch up on Torchwood. I've managed to watch all of the episodes of the first season that I didn't watch in two hours, including switching dvds. I win at fast forward! Also, the only reason I bring this up is because the guy who plays Ianto looks about twelve years old when not wearing a suit. It's baffling.

I keep trying to write today. It's not particularly working. I did write a scene where Ted makes a joke about Mirek punching a guy in the face, but then it became all expository about why he punched a guy in the face and it was all convoluted and I decided to try and find some L&O on teevee instead.
I'm closing today and tomorrow and off Friday. Alex is coming by that evening because Rufus is playing in Morristown. Then I'm working Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, all night Monday (literally: until 2:30a), Tuesday afternoon, and Wednesday night. I'm trying to plan social gatherings around all of that. It would be nice to see people.
I'm charging my computer now. Maybe I'll bring it with me and try to write later, or at least write comments. I don' have the attention span to read books at the moment, so my breaks at work have been kind of blah. I've also got to watch what I eat. With the boredom and lack of attention span comes nothing to do to fill the hours and the need to consume food in order to do something. I just lost like, eight million pounds, and as much as I really don't care about my weight, it would be nice to keep it off and buy some new pants.
