this entry is totally not about bandslash (except for how it is, but it's really not)
Now that shala has succumbed, I think I am officially the only person on the internet not into Pete Wentz and Fall Out Boy bandslash in general. (Not including moonsheen. We are totally the only ones, though.) I've tried, but I'm just so not interested at all. Sorry guys!
It's crazy, though. I don't think I've ever seen a fandom take over my f-list so fast! People from opposite sides of my flist, people who would never ever meet otherwise, are all talking about the same thing and it's creeping me out! So weird.
But yeah, I was flipping through the channels and there was a Fall out Boy video on MTVu so I watched part of it. From the video, I garnered that Pete Wentz's general purpose in the band is to flirt with ladies and break things. Interestingly enough, that is basically what I have garnered from skimming my flist as well. Except that, in addition to ladies, he also seems to flirt with his band members and the people from other bands within the same genre. Or something like that.
ANYWAY, SORRY GUYS. This is so not going to be my thing. (Not that I care if you all are into it. Be free! Like whatever you want! You don't begrudge me my Aaron Sorkin addiction, do you?)

Today has been a half-sober day. Yesterday was a mostly sober-day. Tomorrow I'm going to try and survive solely on motrin. Wish me luck. My mouth still hurts an awful lot.
Anyway, unrelatedly, here's a song I've been listening to a lot.

It's from Paul Simon's latest album. I really like the part where the music speeds up. But if I ever get back to the twentieth century / i guess i'd better pay off some debts. / open the book of my vanishing memory / with its catelogue of regrets. I just like that part, I think.
Anyway. Maybe I will eat some pudding now.
