Kisumai/Jrs - Kitayama+Yasui
152 words, PG-13, Striketeam AU
Things went south.
We were playing writing games last night. This time it was 3 word prompts, written in 3 minutes. Prompt words for this were 'Scared, Waiting, Code'. In the Striketeam continuity - while the team is on hiatus, Kitayama runs missions with a couple other agents. Yasui's mission takes a turn for the worse.
Kitayama was speaking in his ear, just soft enough that Yasui could still tune in to Fang’s current anecdote.
“Keep calm, Yasui. I need you to keep it together.”
But this hadn’t been part of the plan. Yes, he was supposed to act pretty and coy and a little desperate. Yes, he’d been up for drinks and a bit of under the table groping.
But a car going somewhere, somewhere, that was not okay. Yasui had no cover, no defense. “It’s getting a little hot in here,” he said, biting his lip when there was a pause in the conversation. This isn’t okay.
“I know,” Kitayama said steadily, as if trying to make sure Yasui knew he was paying attention to everything Yasui was saying. “If he hurts you, I’ll kill him. We’re tailing you, but I need you to do this for me, Yasui. You can do it.”
