All of April was uneventful I guess.
AN's over. Friday was Zack. My 3 days of effort seem a little wasted since extremely few people recognized me, but I felt sexy so I'm good. Albert suggested that maybe people thought I was doing Cloud wrong. >__o I'm leaning more towards Friday simply being a relatively slow day for the con and also due to the fact that we arrived late. But I finished my pauldrons... ;__;
I thought Jenn would have something to say about the costume but she was just cold and distant, as were her friends. WHY. WHYYYY. I totally didn't deserve that. it was awkward for her. I was pretty upset.
Saturday and Sunday was Dr. Stein from Soul Eater. I'm surprised how many people recognized me. I was secretly expecting like maybe 10, but there were a lot so that was pretty nice. I could hear people walking by me and whispering, "oh shi- that's Dr. Stein from Soul Eater!" I saw other Soul Eater cosplayers so I was happy about that too.
I finally realize and acknowledge that I don't go to cons for the dealer's room or the panels or the AMVs or any of that stuff. It's about hanging out with your friends for a weekend and farting around with them. Albert cosplayed with me this year for friday and saturday (HAHA FINALLY! A "GROUP" COSPLAY!) and it was really cool. I need to do that again.
Julia and (other)Jenn are my favourite con people. Best times are hanging out with them.
Also sustained damage from falling (with a running start). Scraped palms, wrists and knees. Band-aids everywhere. I feel like a 10 year old. haha I need one across my nose. "Nono, I'm okay. Let's BATTLE!"
