Even though filming has only just began, is shooting going well?
Aiba Masaki (Hereinafter Aiba)
With the rain and snow in season, filming was dependent on the weather more than expected. During the press conference before the filming, I said "It would be good if we had a balance of comical parts and serious parts" but, once we were in, there wasn't even one serious part. A-re, I felt guilty as I had lied (laughs). Yoshitarou is serious to a clumsy extent, that everything becomes an overreaction, but it's not that he is trying to evoke laughter, it (the overreaction) actually leads to seriousness. For myself too, I'll act it out with this awareness.
How is the relationship with your conbi Shu-shu as Holmes?
Aiba Before filming with the feeling of "Let's work together", I gave it some food. Like karikari (name of a popular cat-food) or fillets. It seemed glad to be eating it, so my feelings should have been conveyed (laughs). After all, it's an elite, to actually be chosen amongst the numerous Calico cats* during the audition. Even when I pocketed it**, it did not get angry,, it's such a good kid.
Does holmes transform to Matsuko-san?
Aiba Yup. In what way will it transform, it's anticipating, right? Thing is, the setting is that Matsuko-san gives me advice on the cases, and as expected,, it'll feel like she's scolding me. That's the only think that's kindda disturbing (laughs).
Previously, you mentioned "Since I was young, I have a strong intuition for riddles. With this, I'd like to solve cases".
Aiba That was quite a big thing to say, right (laughs). Then, here's a riddle I know. "A fog is still a fog, but what fog comes out from the toilet? Laughter is refreashing"***!......Ehh......It's alright. Because fore me, Holmes is following me (laughs). (He meant it in a "Oh well, I have Holmes to depend on" manner)
*Calico cats are cats with three colours on their fur. That's what mikeneko means, btw.
** When Aiba says pocketed it, I think he's referring to the shoot where the cat was inside his shirt. (Lucky cat!!)
