I've been getting more and more responsibilities at work. I mentioned a couple of times that I've been calling companies to try and get promotional merchandise for movies and books related to whatever upcoming programs we might be having. Then there have been the giveaways, which I've been in charge of for the most part. Recently my boss let me administrate our
Facebook fan page, which got over 100 new followers over the weekend once I started promoting the Twilight poster giveaway. Although, I'm certain that after the giveaways are over, some fans will start to drop off. My coworker who has been adminning the
Twitter and Instagram accounts, has given me the passwords so that I can help him as well. I enjoy doing it all, but it's been cutting into my actual responsibilities as an MC (putting books away and shelf reading).
I'm not dramatically behind in my work or anything like that, but I find that I won't have had enough time to finish certain little projects that I used to work on such as organizing the kids DVDs or keeping up with all the displays. My boss even sat me down last week, and awkwardly tried to remind me that my MC duties need to come first. He seemed really uncomfortable in telling me this. I think he didn't want me to misunderstand how much he's been appreciating my help, because he spent a good amount of time praising how much passion I have for the library and in everything I've been doing. The recognition and appreciation feels good, and I know I'm not in any trouble.
A couple of things I forgot to mention that have happened in the past month. I finally got my nose pierced:

Eric entered an Artwalk in Atwater and won $1000.

We went to see comedian Christopher Titus preform at Flappers in Burbank, and
I got Titus to pose for a reading photo for the library.
