The other day at work my coworker, Alicia, made a joke about the trending "poses" going around the internet:
planking,
owling,
tebowing, etc. She mentioned that she should start one called "reading". My other coworker, Art,
posted the joke on Twitter, and people really liked the idea. Art is the main admin for our library's blog, so he wrote a post asking readers to submit photos of themselves reading for our blog and it's really taken off. We each have submitted our own photo, and have had about 15 sent in to us. We're thinking that if we can get enough photos we might create a display at work.

This brings me to my next topic: Instagram. I recently got an iPhone and one of my favorite apps so far has been Instagram. If Twitter and Tumblr had a child it would be Instagram. It's basically a photo community with it's own itty bitty editing software (basically a focus tool and some filters) and, like with Tumblr and Twitter, you can hashtag your photos. I've also got the option of sending the photos to Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr, which I've been doing. I took a couple of the photos on our blog of the firemen reading, so I decided to use a couple of them for my Instagram account and wanted to share them:
