I spent almost 9 hours cleaning the apartment today. Kris has it easy, with what is left. I owe my mom big time for helping me out. She spent like 3 hours cleaning the bathroom while I tackled the kitchen. I'd like to say I learned my lesson, and next time I'm out on my own, I'll keep better care in cleaning all the stuff... but I'm a slacker. (At least now I know what a self cleaning stove does and how to get it to do it.)
I'm pretty excited for Nebraskon next weekend. I plan to spend most of the weekend down in Lincoln... I'm going to try to get in the costume contest and attend more events. I really need to get out more.
I'm hoping the improvements I made on my Amy Sorel costume look great. My Steampunk is slowly coming along (the skirt is almost done and I think I might recycle the shirt from my previous attempt... so that leaves finishing the vest that I started a few months ago). I put together a pair of cyber dreads for the hell of it. It's a bit too futuristic but they look cute anyway.
Heh, dad is probably going to regret getting my opinion on his Christmas light show. I already talked him into buying an angel and a new star for the song he's working on. Now, after me and mom deliberated, we talked him into buying a second angel. The song he's working on is by (and I might have the name slightly off) Trans Siberian Orchestra... the song is something about Christmas Cannon (you'd know the original tune if you heard it, it plays in a lot of jewelry and Christmas commercials... if I remember right, its the song in My Sassy Girl that she plays on the piano when he brings her the rose). Anyway, there are two female vocal parts and at first I told him an angel would be really pretty for the main vocal (and use the star for when two vocals are going on, one repeating "on this night"). Instead, he was going to have trees totally represent the 2nd vocal, mom and I disapproved. So, now he's gunna buy another angel. That'll teach him to make me listen to the song 80 million times a day. (It's as bad as making an anime music video... but at least when you're making a music video you're working with fun video scenes... the output video for his light show program looks like an Atari version of our front yard.) I look forward to seeing the finished product... it will be his most complicated show yet.
Whew... I think I'm going to bed now. Dad had the tv playing at 7:30am so loud I could hear it clearly across the house in my room. (Mind you, one night he demanded I turn my volume down on my tv so low I couldn't hear half the people talking when sitting two feet away.)
