A bit of amusement

A while ago, someone on steamfashion linked a shop they had bought watch parts from. Last night, I decided to go ahead and place an order (on my top hat, I wanted some flowers and some gears on stems around where my mechanical ear would stick out). I noticed when checking out, that it added NE sales tax... which meant the seller was local. Anyway, she messaged me this morning saying she was out and that she would be ordering more today and added a comment about being in Omaha, as well. I told her that was alright and she responded and asked me what was Steampunk and why people were so interested in clock parts. Hoo boy. Had fun trying to explain that! It is so hard to try to find a short answer for it. Ah well.

Threading a serger is beyond my grasp, apparently. I ended up breaking a needle and giving up before I damaged anything else. Of course, after I broke the needle... I flipped further through the book and found out I could have cut the thread of the white thread that had been loaded in the machine and just tied the black thread to the cut ends. Oops. Hopefully, Lydia can lend me a hand tonight.

steampunk, serger
