Scott and I went to the mall yesterday. We do this about once a year, usually when he needs sneakers, as he did yesterday. As we were walking through the make-up counters at Dillards, I took notice of some of the ridiculous names for perfumes on the counter---Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan, Beautiful by Estee Lauder, etc. Come on, get creative, I thought. Then I saw it---Unforgivable Woman. That's right, a perfume called UNFORGIVABLE WOMAN! And then I noticed the counter-top poster advertising Unforgivable Woman. It was a blurry, "sexy" photograph. It was a photograph of a white woman. With a black man kissing her neck. That's right--the "unforgivable woman" is the woman being kissed by a black man. I won't be going to the mall again for a long time.
