Over the festive period, I ate four new types of animal. They were as follows :
1 - Pheasant
2 - Conger eel
3 - Elk
4 - Deer
Before those militant vegetarians who failed to look away when I warned them to get too angry, I have certain things in my defence.
1 - The pheasant was part of a pre-Christmas meal cooked by friends (well, by a friend as her boyfriend looked on really) and as such I could hardly turn it down.
2 - The conger eel was cooked for
three_wishes, who claims to be a vegetarian herself, and as an adventurous type, I could hardly turn down a taste of the left-overs.
3 and 4 were both comined in 'salami snacks', for which three_wishes is again to blame. She brought them back from Ikea. They are now one of the few Ikea products that I truly approve of.
5 - I'll eat what (and whom, if push comes to shove) I like, so screw you.
I also ate a lot of cow, some pig and a little bit of chicken, but absolutely no turkey, which is a shame, because I'd resolved to do so at some point during the Twelve Days. Still, I'll only be slightly late if I get some today...
