Okay, folks:  I asked Philosphy Boy, and got his ALARMING 2 cents, now I'm asking everyone else.  At some point, I'll probably ask the doctor.  But for now....

Look down at your navel.  If you moved just a smidge over to the left, and about 1.5 to  2 skinny scrawny finger-tip widths up toward your chest, and, well, pressed in....what's right there, ( Read more... )

I suspect the spleen is further left. I'd say that's intestine.

See a doctor.

I mean, are we talking crampy gas pain, or oh my god I'm gonna die?

Appendicitis is usually right-side pain, but ya never know.

Gall bladders, speaking from personal experience, tend to hit higher up, towards the right, and radiate around to teh side when they're complaining about their working conditions.
Um, duodenum (a fave place for ulcers to hand out)? Pancreas?

You are wise to consult your physician. If nothing else, you'll be a welcome break from people demanding antibiotics for head colds.

All right, you owe it to your doctor to go in for a visit, because you have a real mysterious problem that will call on their expertise and training. Just think of them, sitting there all day, dealing with the medical equivalent of settling their clients' parking tickets and summonses for lesser moving violations.

More to the right, spleen and stomach. A little more to the left, liver and gallbladder. If you're feeling something there, could also be a hiatal hernia, which is the most common type.

Now to look at what everyone else and put and learn some stuff :D

Hope all is well.

Okay, screw what I just posted. Abdominal pain is nothing to mess with and should be taken very seriously. Get thee to a doctor now.

I just happened upon this, curious when I saw your "anatomy lessons" tag - so now I want to know, did you ever figure out what it was? :)

Also, any interest and/or availability for a Girls Night In sometime in the next week or so? I just got some crazy high heel boots that I need to learn to walk in. :)

I am probably no good for a girls' night until February; we have a couple of really big filings coming up and I'm in Costa Rica from the 8th to the 14th.

After Feb. 3, though, I'm totally game. :)
