Have a meet with A's boss on Monday. He's finally decided to pay someone to design the company website after purchasing the domain name five years ago, and paying $40/yr to keep it active. It has been blank for 5 years. Incredible. Supposedly, others have said they were going to do it in the past, including one of the owners' sons, but they never quite finished it.
I've spent the weekend so far coming up with the main page as enticement. Then I'll announce my fee structure, which I don't have a clue about at the moment. The only thing I can come up with is $500 for the main page and $200 for every subpage. The way I've designed it now, with 5 pages total, this would bring in $1300. Not bad.
Any advice on what to charge for a website? How about maintainence fees?
