all good stuff
My book has arrived. :) I saw it in the university bookstore today and then I got my free personal copies in the mail shortly after I arrived home from school. It looks great. Now I just have to figure out how exactly should get a copy. Chair? Dean? Provost? Chancellor? My mom gets one since it's dedicated to her. My high school speech teacher gets one since she inspired me to go into this field. My next door neighbor kid who designed one of the illustrations. and I want to keep two: one to mark-up in preparation for the next edition, and one clean copy for show.
Also, I will be giving a full day workshop on public speaking to the Army's 1st Psychological Special Ops Battalion in two weeks. I requested payment of $1000 for the all day lecture. Looks like I'll get it. It should be a neat opportunity, and a good line on my vita.
