99.9% Certain.........
.....that Joey is being moved to another class on Monday!! I'm pretty sure the principal and resource teachers realize I don't have the experience to handle a student like Joey..which I realize I don't!! I don't mean to complain about him, but every time he does something I inform the principal or the resource teachers. It sounds petty when I write it down, but it was mainly to document his behavior so everything was known and perhaps he could be moved.
Today, he kicked a girl at recess....she was walking by, and he just kicked her. The aide on duty told me, and as soon as we got back to class, I called to have the principal to come to my room. I didn't want to make one of the kids take Joey to him, nor did I trust him to go by himself.
Oh, this morning he came in and starting saying "Buzz, buzz, buzzzzz, buzz, bzzzzzzzzz" for the first 15 minutes! I'm like, WHAT THE FREAKING HELL.....? He went to reading and some other testing a couple of times today and the difference in the classroom was totally apparent....we were all more relaxed and quiet and well-behaved. Well, I'm always well-behaved ;-).
So, long story short.....the principal said he'd be moved on Monday to a teacher who has had students like Joey....except she doesn't know it yet. Oops. She left at lunch. I feel bad about that part, though. But the principal said if Joey shows up at the room, to send him to the office.
So, bless the Goddess, Allah, Budha, Ra, Zeus, the Universe, and any other gods or goddesses that helped out ;-)!!!!
