John was very mean to me yesterday. He held up an envelope he got from the mail and said, "Oooh, looks like girlfriend got an acceptance letter!" I was washing the dishes and I froze. "Really?? From where??" John grinned. "The credit card company!" I told him that I hated him. Officially. :p At least it was my fancy new credit card. It's all black and silver and it makes me feel special.
Speaking of special, John and I started to watch that Heroes tv show. We rented the first 5 episodes from Netflix. For the first two or three I was riding the fence, but the last few got me hooked. There are still more corny bits than I would like, but hey, it's tv. The way they're currently working the plot twists is very intriguing and satisfying.
My favorite character by far is Hito, the pudgy japanese nerd with spiky hair and big emo black-rimmed glasses who can bend space and time. He's adorable. I just want to hug him and pat him on the head and say, "It's ok sweety, I'm here. I'll help you out." He's kind of bumbling but in that cute dorky way that is just so endearing to my nerdy heart. Also, at this point he can barely speak english, which makes him that much cuter.
*in thick japanese accent* "Ah, can you give me ride-u?"
"A - what?"
"A ride-u! Vrm vrm, bu bu!" *makes steering wheel and horn honking motions*
Other than unhealthy amounts of this tv show, John and I also partook in unhealthy amounts of video games - Rainbow Six, Oblivion - and Katamari!! :D Also japanese and adorable, and crazy in that special way the japanese are. You play the role of the Prince, the diminutive son of the King and Queen of the Cosmos, giant figures with strange heads who send you to earth with a katamari, a funny looking ball that rolls up anything and everything. The more you roll up, the bigger the katamari gets, and you can roll up bigger and bigger things. You can start out with paperclips and end up with trees. It sounds stupid but it's ridiculously fun. For me, anyway.
We also re-organized our pantry after an expensive trip to Sam's Club, and it's beautiferous!
And now, I will probably play another hour of katamari when I should be going to sleep. oh well! Hope you all had a good weekend too. ^_^
