The show on Saturday (1/17) was a good one, as most have been lately. It's been a while since we actually had a disappointing show. It's a nice feeling when we play after the band that actually should be headlining, and a majority of the people still stay.

The night kicked off with Eleanor's Fault, I had never heard them before, but i liked what I heard. I felt bad, and kind of thought they were going to play for an empty house, but once they started playing, there was a steady stream of people coming through the doors. So, I didn't feel so bad. They had more of the dirty/hardcore/emoish sound, decent for the part of me that likes that. And, it's always nice to play with bands that I've never heard before, though, I didn't even get a chance to say anything to them after they played. They left shortly after they played, which is always a disappointment, and makes me think that they don't really care about the other bands they play with. I could be wrong.

Up next were our partners in crime Better Luck Nextime. As always, they rocked out, and it's always a blast to play with them. I LOVE fucking with them (Writing on their setlists) while they play, plus i usually find an opportunity to hit guest-vocals with them. They were tight. They improve everytime i see them. They're like our brothers within the scene, I'd have it no other way, they're truely a bunch of really nice guys, more shows with them will come, guaranteed.

After them was The Audition. I've seen them a few times in the past. They played well, lots of energy. I like their style. Their singer was standing on one of the monitors (speakers pointing towards the band) and one of the guitar players pushed him off of it into the crowd, i thought this was pretty hilarious, and giggled a little bit. I like it when bands have fun with eachother on stage. The Audition is definitely a good bunch of guys that bust ass for their band. Very respectable.

Then The Academy hit the stage. The Academy is a band that has things happening for them. It was quite a hassle getting them to actually play this show, but i won't go into the details of that. Their set was solid, short, but solid. I used to like them a lot, when i was more into Taking Back Sunday, and that style of music, lately my tastes have been more varied, but that style doesn't seem to be included, still quality tunes though. I wish they had more of a live presence though (not talkin shit.. just tough for me to get into a band that doesnt rock their face off when they play)

We played after them, about a half an hour before we thought we were supposed to. Our setlist looked like this:
Choices Made and Forevers Died
Cover Up
Writing You Off (pop-punk)
Jumping Headfirst Into The Stereo
Larry R. Roofer
Silent Screams
Fatal Lies
New Song (Tra-Ja-Love)
Perfection

We had a ton of fun while playing. We played for a lot of people that we don't know. But the ones that do know us had more fun than ever. We raided the lost and found of the Sportsplex, and a bunch of kids had hockey gloves on, which were eventually thrown at Sean. Sean returned the favor whenever he had a chance to and thew the gloves back at them. It was pretty hilarious/fun. Sean got the New Song right this time, as compared to the last two times where he missed his drum break, so that was exciting. It was nice to play Larry and Silent again, as they've been missing from the setlist as of late. Silent has a renewed energy, I love it again. Choices Made and Forevers Died went well, we were all in that sort of mood to open with it and set the tone for an incredible show. the guys from Better Luck Nextime kept hittin the stage with us to dance and party with us, that's always enjoyable, CB/RB (from BLN) hit guest percussion/vocals/throw shit at sean at the end of Perfection, which seems to be a MAJOR rockfest for anyone who knows it lately, always a wonderful time. All went well, i sweat through another t-shirt, which isn't unusual for me lately, but used to be an unusual occurance. We played our asses off. Thanks if you were there, if you weren't don't miss the next one. Videos from the show will be posted on the site soon. Thanks for undying support.
