Hello everyone :) I haven't been here for so long that I kinda forgot how to use lj :D
I'm here now to record & report my first experience with a Movie Premiere Stage Greeting. I went to see ore ore yesterday & was lucky enough to have a nice fellow JP hyphen give me a ticket to one of the premiere showings :) I attended the May 25th 13:20 one in TOHO Kawasaki, Kanagawa prefecture.
✫Those who've been there or read reports elsewhere, please feel free to correct me if you find any wrong info :)
So yes, I actually got to see Kamenashi-kun live for the first time & no need to say how sparkly & cho-Kamenashi he was XD People following me on twitter might've already spotted me tweeting meaninglessly about the event in high tension but I'll try to sort those meaningless tweets into a more proper report here.
I'll refrain right now from mentioning anything about the movie until I actually get it lol! I can describe it as a comedy/suspense/fantasy? I think you all know about the story already so I won't say much there. And for those who are curious to know the whole plot, I'm sure someone else has posted spoilers here & there so check them out XD & I'll add my own spoilers when I go watch the movie again to grasp the parts I couldn't get the first time! But overall the movie was so amazingly exciting & unlike many of the JP movies, the sequence of the events is very quick! So if anyone is in Japan & still wondering if they should go, please do and you'll never regret it :)
Now onto the premiere stage greeting yesterday!
After the movie ended & FACE to Face was playing with the ending roll. And near the end of the ending role, the screen was showing all the 33 characters names and each had "Kamenashi Kazuya" next to them, so the whole theater went wooooh with high applause! After the ending roll, we were asked to remain in our seats and wait till the greeting begins. We sat there for maybe 5~7min (which I felt like an hour XD), then the lady host went up on stage saying a few warnings including to turn off cellphones etc.
Then she called for Director Miki Satoshi & Kamenashi Kazuya. They entered through a door in the middle of the theater & went down to stage while bowing & waving at the audience. They both reached the stage, when Kame stood & then opened the way for Miki-san and made a gesture with his hand for him to stand on his right side (apparently to be next to the host). And that's how they were standing till the end of the event. I can't recall correctly because my mind was somewhere else, but I think the event went on for about 10~15min.
I also can't quite remember the sequence of the talk so I'll point out the happenings instead^^
✿ When the host introduced Kame and asked him for a comment, he introduced himself, and then stayed silent for some weird few seconds, so everyone was laughing at that silent instance XD
✿ At first Kame said: "I think some might still be in a state of confusion right now." That's when the host asks: "Who thinks the movie was mysterious?" and nearly everyone were raising their hands. Then Kame asks if anyone thinks only watching the movie for once isn't enough to understand it, and again nearly everyone raised their hands. They were both (Kame & Miki-san) laughing and looking at each other with a (That many!!) look :DD
Then Kame said that after you watch it, you go back and after a few hours your brain will start to sort it out and you'll start getting to understand it, and that's the type of movie it is. And when people who watched it discuss it with each other, they'll start putting the pieces of the puzzle together. So that's why he's thankful for getting such a reaction from us :)
✿ Miki-san's mic was kinda odd & hard to be heard, so Kame asked the staff if they can change it for him. & when they finally brought him another one, Miki-san put the other one in his back pocket and said he'll pass it to the staff later.
✿ There's a scene on the movie where the 3 main characters are eating Chinese noodles together (I think it was showed on many PR shows already on TV). And Miki-san said that this scene is all done by Kamenashi and not by someone who looks exactly to him :D That's when Kame said that it'd be so easy if there were someone that looked exactly like him. And apparently that scene was taken about a week after the crank-in. Then Kame is trying to simulate to us how such a scene was filmed, by moving around in 3 positions, acting A, B & C, and gesturing with his hand. He says the script of A-person and leaves a pause for both B & C. Then the script of B-person, while repeating the script of A-person inside his head, and leaves the pause for A & C. Then the script of C-person leaving the pause for A & B. And if the timing doesn't seem right he asks if he can re-do the whole scene all over again. (He simulated that scenery for us slowly and carefully so I was so impressed! Kame acting right in front of me *___* Apparently that scene took them 2 days to finish. And apparently there was once a suggestion to use Kame's brothers for the filming lol!)
✿ There's a scene where 2 of the main characters are playing air-hockey together while talking to each other. It was very real & detailed! They talked about it on the event and Miki-san said that the scene was scheduled to be filmed in 4~5 hours but Kame managed to finish filming it in an hour and a half. It seems that they used the remaining time and went with the staff to eat
yakihamaguri together :)
✿ While they were talking about how hard the filming was, Kame says that once you turn off the switch it's harder to keep going on. Going home sleeping for 2 hours then going back (to the filming), that life-style continued for about a month and half so that's what made him keep going. And also on that day (Saturday) he's glad there wasn't a switch off instant. <---- can't remember the exact words sorry >< But he means that when you keep on working without having a pause (switch off moment) it's easier than starting, stoping, then starting again.
✿ The host mentioned that Kame watched the movie for 7 times already! Then Kame said while laughing: "It's not that I'm a narcist or anything." But when he's interviewed by someone who watched the movie, he feels like he wants to watch it again from the perspective of a viewer, so that's how he ended up watching it 7 times. He also thinks that with every time you watch the movie you discover things you never noticed before <----and he's right!!
✿ At the end the host says that time is almost up, and that's when Kame raises his right hand to check his watch <---- I was specifically taken by this scenery cuz his hand gesture was so cool & stylish XD
✿ Then she asks each of them to say some last words so Kame: "What I thought was inspiring while talking with the director, that we live surrounded by things that were once created inside someone else's brain. Human have the instinct of multiplying themselves by stating their likes & hates.
This movie is a reflection of our modern society. The word "Deletion" is being used commonly by us nowadays, however it wasn't very major before. As much as connections can be easily made with the convenient tools we have in hand, they can also be easily deleted. This society where you can multiply yourself by being in various communities, it's convenient yet scary.
I'd be glad if something catches your attention when you go back home after this, and if you decide to come back again to confirm that intuition. Thank you everyone for coming today." <---- this part isn't direct trans of course cuz I couldn't remember the exact words >< so I had to get some help from some JP fan blogs that each had their own original version XD so this is a summary of what's inside my memory and what I collected online :)
✿ One last episode XD
When they were almost finished, apparently there was kid sitting in the front rows looking a bit uncomfortable, so Kame tells him: "Are you okay? We're almost finished here". That's when I think the kid started looking at him with opera-glasses so Kame says: "You're looking at me with opera-glasses? Kamenashi-kun had his make-up on since 3 in the morning so it must be all worn out right now". And of course the whole theater is LOL-ing XD
And finally~
Hope you enjoyed my simple report ^^
And with this 2 weeks of Kame all around is over and now I'm back to the real world! And I don't like it T_T
Good night everyone~
