It's been a while since I posted properly. I haven't had anything interesting to say. Can't say I haven't had time 'cos that's a big fat lie.
Weekend's been going well. I saw my old roommate after two years. It's weird 'cos it didn't feel like it had been that long at all. That made me happy.
School's going well. I kind of hate my legal writing class only because it is so freaking hard. I mean, i'm so used to writing long, flowy papers with flowy words and just whatever for profs to eat it up. I can't do that here. Not that I'm complaining about that...I don't want to fight the system and try to get them to read stuff that's all flowery and preachy or whatever. I know law school doesn't work like that. I'm just annoyed because it bores me and when I get bored I get distracted and well you know the story from there on out.
I spent way too much time away from studying today and of course once I got down to it, I didn't get enough done. Still, I have nearly two pages of my legal writing assignment done, I read a lot for Contracts yesterday and did two briefs, and I'll get Torts done tomorrow along with my rule synthesis thing for legal writing. Property will have to wait.
Long weekend my foot! Still, the weather was lovely and even though I haven't watched more than a set of tennis for each match, I'm happy Rafa's through and that Lleyton got a set off Fed. His post-match presser was awesome. Roddick lost to Isner, which was a total shocker but hey, good for Isner. Venus lost to Clijsters today (!?!?!!!!!), Dinara lost to whoever yesterday (meh), Jankovic lost earlier so basically I don't care about the women's side much at all. As usual. But the men's draw is interesting and Tsonga, Ferrero (hurrah!), and Marin are all still in. Soooooo...I'm happy about that. For now, since they're all still in.
SIGH I wish I could make time for an entire day of tennis but it doesn't work that way anymore. Have to make sure I get all my work done in advance next week 'cos there's no way I'm not watching the men's final next Sunday.
OK, bed time because I need sleep or my brain will not function and my legal writing paper will be even worse than it already is. Ugh, ego deflation.
G'nite!
