Another Slumdog post
I see that Slumdog Millionaire won a bunch of BAFTAs.
But this isn't about whether the movie deserves the awards or not. I personally really liked the movie. But I wanted to write about some of the reactions of people I know and the film.
A bunch of kids I knew from uni REALLY loved the movie. So much so they went to watch it more than once at the theatres. Well, I personally am the type that hardly goes to see the same movie twice at the theatres but even so, I didn't find Slumdog to be a film I would watch over and over and over again. I'm always like this about a movie that I initially supremely enjoy and then after a few days/weeks, I start to wonder if it was really as good as it seemed at the beginning. And the opposite occurs too, where I might initially dislike a film but then like it more as time goes on.
I think what I'm really interested to find out come Oscars time is if AR Rahman will win the Best Score award. I don't think he really should but I guess we'll find out...
