Serves me right. I played and I lost.
Australian Open suicide pool killed me. STUPID DMITRY TURSUNOV AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHH.
I've vented already but I feel the need to continue venting. I'm properly pissed off at him. And at myself because I'd originally picked Tommy Haas, then switched over to Tursy 'cos I figured Tommy's a bit injury-prone and a risk. GAH turns out stupid Tursunov was the risk.
I'm didn't have my dream Wimbledon run again, that's for sure. No getting through the second week unscathed. Well sort of scathed since several five-setters scared the heck out of me then.
This Oz Open is killing me. I can barely keep my eyes open for the morning part of the schedule (that's morning in Melbourne). Sunday night I barely stayed up till midnight and fell asleep in the middle of some match. I think it was Del Potro. And then last night I stayed up till the end of ESPN's day coverage (till 2 a.m.) and was knocked out pretty much from 12-2. Mainly because they kept doing the talking heads portion and then some 16-year-old American girl started cramping and they focused on her instead of Hewitt-Gonzo (oh my Lleyton, you could've won. You should've won) and also kept going to Venus Williams' match. Zero interest so I snoozed for a bit but I ended up just falling asleep hardcore. I know they showed a bit of Hewitt's match 'cos it went to a fifth set but I dunno if they stopped covering that 'cos their slot was over or what. I do remember that right before coverage ended they showed the Rafa-Roger Wimbledon match because you know, it's Wimbledon. HONESTLY. That pissed me off. Show interviews of Rafa or something else to preview his match, not the Wimbles final again. At least not during the AO! Pfft, whatever.
And now I wake up to find stupid useless Tursunov has kicked me out of the suicide pool and Haas is alive and well and if I'd stayed with him, I'd be alive too. GRRRRRR.
Vent over. I need to figure out a way to watch all these Oz Open matches. No VCR. No DVR. No Tivo. So those won't work. Blah :(
