Happy holidays! I come to you in the wee hours of Christmas morning as my family has yet to stir. We don't have much to wake up to but we are exchanging a couple of gifts so that's pretty cool. A couple of days ago my lovely friend Jessica visited us during her holiday break from university & we fought through the crowds at the mall to find a gift for A. Unfortunately I failed & he ended up picking it out himself; J.R.R Tolkien's Unfinished Tales. He seemed excited about what he had found for me!

We got my father a sweatpant suit which seems lame but he never buys clothes & lives in almost rags so he definitely needed some warm clothes to wear this winter. Jessica was super nice & dropped off her old winter jacket & it's awesome condition so I don't really have to buy a new one (I might though, if I find a good deal during Boxing Day).

My father wanted to have a good Christmas as this may be one of our last together so I spent the better part of this week running around & buying things in preparation. Food is very important to me, it's like the most important part of any holiday or celebration so I worked pretty hard to make a good menu. Yesterday we had crab dip & broccoli & cheddar soup which was really amazing. I had plans for chocolate covered popcorn but I had pigged out too much by then.

We did see Dee yesterday who played some Mario Kart & Donkey Kong with us. I made us big, beautiful hot chocolates with marshmallows & whipped cream & crushed chocolate flakes. Today, on the menu is turkey & potatoes & arancini & roasted cauliflower - will be good. I am looking forward to breakfast the most: finally, cinnamon buns.

The next week is going to be super busy for me! On Tuesday I am going to be shooting with former Collective member Jessica Pink & then on Wednesday I'm helping one of my old classmates (super old by now, actually, as we met in sixth grade!) with promotional material for his new rap project and finally on Thursday is a meeting with the awesome Ardean so we can plan something wonderful for the new year. I packed my week full, but it will be good.

My birthday extravaganza is in just thirteen days! Exciting! In the next thirteen days, A. will be moving out, Jessi will be moving in & so many things will change. I'm a little scared, as I usually am with change, but I'm also really excited because I get time to be crazy & party with my friends for a little while longer on my own then start a new life & do new things & meet new people. I want to use the time I have wisely in building new connections & working on projects so when I do move, I'll already have so much ready for myself.

Things have been going well, I hope the same can be said for you guys!

Merry Christmas :)
