Hello my darlings.
Over the past few days I have denied you saga and bizarrety. Also movie reviews, so the saga will be in the next post, primarily because Chris is an Old Woman and needs the gossip, so I'm separating it out, and also because The Reviews take precedence...
So here ya go...
I finally watched Prince Caspian, the New(er) Narnia film yesterday, (and found out that they're working on Voyage of the Dawn Treader and the kid who's playing Eustace is sooo damn cute I want one, awwwwww!). It was really good, gorgeous acting, even though the CG bits looked a bit weird, and Skandar Keynes is so cute (even if he is a year younger than my little sister, eep!) and Ed always was my favourite in the books because he's not perfect... None of them are particularly pretty, but I stopped trying to find pretty in children's films around the time I realised that my sister was eighteen and that creeped me out. Georgie is terrifically cute and tiny, the quintessential little sister. I've never really liked Susan, she bugged me, and Peter is a good lad, but annoys me sometimes. The lack of Tumnus was evened out by the quality of the Reepicheep (OMG Eddie Izzard was a talking mouse!) and the fact that we has a Warwick Davies! (Willow FTW!) All in all it is totally worth watching, and even if Walden Media doesn't appear to be able to keep the series in order I do understand why they're doing it this way and so long as they actually do make all of the films...
Moving on...
I also finally saw the new Indiana Jones film. It's completely AWESOME! The aliens I'm not sure of, but it's pretty cool. I have no idea why it is that Harrison Ford is still cool. And I always wanted Marion to end up with Indy, she's the only one cool enough. Goddamn it, why is he still so pretty after all these years?!?! The fridge thing bugged me up until the point where I saw it. It's so patently ridiculous that of course it works in the world of Indy. Lead-lined fridge is glee! I'm not hugely fond of Shia LaBoeuf, but meh. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it. You need to suspend disbelief, but you always did in Indiana Jones' world.
Most recently, about an hour ago we watched the X-Files movie. It's TERRIBLE. I was expecting that, but, yeah, terrible. Billy Connelly was crazy and distubed (no surprises there), David Duchovny was beardy and weird (again, no surprise) and Gillian Anderson was older but still quite pretty and ginger. There weren't any aliens or weird things, I am very annoyed by this, how can it be X-Files without them? Bleah!
Anywho, that's quite enough of my blathering for now, so I'm off. I'll be along with family madness later...
