Webcomics
Okay, in this section I'm linking as many webcomics that are awesome along with little descriptions of what they are about... Sort of... If you are aware of any that I've missed that you think should be included in these recs, please let me know in comments.

Radioactive Panda. It's finished now, and there's not a huge amount of stuff to read, but it's well worth it. Very funny, very odd. Think horror movies but the bits that happen everyday, not just when the mob hits the castle. With 200% extra added zombies!

Jetpacks and Time Machines. It's wonderfully drawn, terribly clever and very, very funny. It hasn't been going for long, so there's not too much catching up required. Now with science!

Sam and Fuzzy. The story of a guy called Sam and his psychotic teddy-bear best-friend, Fuzzy. Terrifically funny, but goes back a looooong time. This has a huge archive and Sam Logan updates regularly. Do not take Sam and Fuzzy on lightly. It will steal all of your time. Having said that if you go back through the archives there are possessed fridges and the ninja mafia and skull panda, so go read it now!

Questionable Content. Indie Rock and humour thrown together in a delicious Coffee of Doom. There are quite a few characters in this comic, which is why Jeph Jacques has handily provided a cast page. Read it from the beginning. It's awesome.

Nice Hair. Neil (Gaiman), Tim (Burton) and 'Fat Bob' (Robert Smith) are housemates. Throw in some elder gods, and the occasional application of pirates and stand well back. It's very funny, completely weird, and very slow at updating. I check back with this every so often, as the art is so great, and the crack so good, but Amanda has other demands on her time. Read through the archive. You'll be glad you did, and it won't take long.

XKCD. If you haven't read XKCD, why not? I understand that some of you haven't. So here it is, all linked and shiny. Go, read it. Do it NOW! And watch out for raptors!

Count Your Sheep. It's cute. Maybe too cute for some of you who happen to only like stompy mech comics and explody things, but for those of you with a soft spot for cute things (even if it's only a sometimes one and not a permanent one) CYS is for you. The stories of Katie and her sheep, Ship. And Katie's mom, Laurie. If you need something to read you a bedtime story this is the comic you need. Awww. I'd probably aught to metion that it's also funny and clever as well as being cute, but *shrug* if you aren't going to read it, then you aren't going to read it.

Ctrl Alt Del. Ctrl Alt Del is a gaming comic, you may have guessed that by the title, and I hesitate to recommend gaming comics, but CAD is funny. Very funny. It is a 'two guys and a sofa' comic... But only sometimes. CAD is still good even if you don't game. And everyone needs to know where Winter-een-mas comes from, if only so they have a valid reason to celebrate it!

Catharsis Comic. Another cute one I'm afraid. this comic is living with a dragon and a squirrel. This comic is odd and funny and clever. I am hooked on this comic. (See I do like fuzzy things sometimes!) I admit there are prettier linking banners available, but... 'Beware the Naked Squirrel!' - How could I not?

College Roomies From Hell. Affectionately known as CRFH, this is a really, really, really long backstory of stuff, but because it's been going for so long (since 1999) it's got a really good guide and storyline cut-to's. It starts as the everyday annoyances of a group of people in their first year at college. (Uni if you're not American!) However, things rapidly change from being normal life-bitching to being weird and not quite so normal. You have to read it... Just set aside a couple of months in which to do so!

Basketcase Comix. Basketcase is a one-joke principle comic. Each strip is different and there are no recurring characters. You can go into this at random and retrieve a strip, and it will make no difference to any other strip you read. Kelly is funny and updates every weekday. there is a considerable back-catalogue, but because of the non-serial nature of the strip, not only can you read it whenever you feel like it, you can also read it backwards if you like!

Fade Resistant. Zombies. Rednecks. Zombie Rednecks. It's like a terrible stereotype brought back to life and twisted until it hurts. But it is well drawn and very funny. It's now finished (and the link leads to the archive page) so you can read at your leisure. Completely odd. Completely worth reading.

Ryan Estrada. This is unusual amongst all webcomics in that it's drawn about someone's actual life. Ryan goes adventuring all over the place doing cool things and while he does his exploring he draws all about it. Ryan's been to some cool places and seen some amazing things. Check this webcomic out, Ryan's cool!

Starslip Crisis. Kristofer Straub's Scifi Extravaganza. Witty, unusual and set in a spaceship. I really like this comic. It's got some terrific storylines, and is the second major comic that Kris' done, so the art's really polished. There is quite a large back catalogue, but it's really great (and I want one of the t-shirts!) and a lot less random than Checkerboard Nightmare! (Although I like Checkerboard Nightmare too!)

PIXEL. It's terrifically simple, a great idea and entirely accessible. It's great. You have to go and read it. I adore PIXEL. I need to hug it more often. I like BatPIXEL and SuperPIXEL the best!

NSFW. Not Safe For Work Comics. Yeah. Um... I didn't send this to you, okay? And you don't know where you found it. Bizarre and funny. If you like things like that. *snerk*

Pewfell. Life and Wizardry. I don't keep very up-to-date myself with this one. As you can see, I've got lots of things that hold my attention, but it is worth a look at the very least. It's well drawn, amusing and has fantastic things. Go on, try some...

Girly. It's good. I like it. At this point I've been working on this links thing for so long that I can't remember what my own name is or if I can or can't fly. Go. Look. If it's not your thing no worries, if you like oddness and cute marshmallow cats keep reading. Marshmallow cat doesn't come into it until after chapter one. Have fun.

Torchwood Babiez. Not strictly speaking a webcomic, but I thought it fitted in better here than anywhere else. It's more a kind of illustrated fanfic. If you think this panel is funny/cute/cool/whatever click it and go read the rest. There's so far half of it up (two of the four eventual parts of the story) but what is there is definitely worth reading.

--------------------------------------------

I know, I know, I've missed out PvP and Penny Arcade, but I said I wasn't going to link loads of gamimg comics. If you game, you've probably already heard of them. If not, Googling works. There are loads of other great comics out there, ones that have slipped under my radar for the moment. Off the top of my head I can think of a good half dozen, but without a proper list and possibly a good sleep I can't remember either the names or the web addresses.

Because I promised Oz, there will be Public Information Films in the 'Random Awesomeness' section. But for the sake of my sanity I'm going to go ahead and post this part now and 'Fics' and 'Random Awesomeness' are going to be compiled over the next few days. I'd rather post little bits and bobs rather than break my brain over a massive post for the sake of it.

I'm not putting it under f-lock. Well. Not yet anyways.

Night.

love to some people,

plum x.

P.S. galacticconman told me to use this icon. Because of Ianto's 'organisationalness'. Yep. That's the word she used. I'm tired. I agreed.

tired is putting it mildly, doctor terrible and the teaboy, friends, shiny, recs, webcomics
