Mm Yay.
Yesterday was The Day of Minor Annoyances but HOORAY for today was a Good Day.
It was really nice outside, for one thing. I went to the barn in the afternoon and got there at about 2:30. L, the head trainer, decided she wanted me to be in the 4 pm lesson on Tuesdays from here on out, so I hung around to ride. It was a GREAT lesson. Lola was soooooo good - she totally carts my incapable butt around no matter what. XD At the end we jumped a whole course - bending lines, combinations, a LIVERPOOL OMG - at 3'6", which neither or us has ever done before. And apparently we didn't suck too bad at it because L decided we were definitely ready to stop messing around in the Adult Amateur hunters and step up to the High Child/Adult Jumpers (LEVEL 3 ZOMG!!). I am so totally EXCITED. Eee! lol at my mom though, who feels all put out. We were talking and I was saying how excited I was and she was like "You know, there's a very small part of me that's disappointed. I pay for huntseat riding lessons for ten years, get you a beautiful 3' hunter horse, and you decide to take all that and go do jumpers." But then she was like "But I'm sure I'll get over it once I watch you go. You and Lola both seem so much happier." XD Oh madre. You are so silly.
It was also good because I heard news from home that Cash, the one sick horse I wrote about a few days ago, seems to be doing better. He's still not great, but his appetite is better and he's peeing. So fingers crossed that he makes a full come-back!
And then they decided to show an amazing episode of House, MD. :D Nothing makes my night like a good House episode.
So yeah, it's been a good day. But also lazy. So before I do anything else I am going to go read some history and study for that a little bit. Bleh. But I'll put SVU on to make it bearable. XD
Srsly tho I am so totally excited for this summer's show season it's not even funny. I'm showing for the first time on the 21st - hopefully we do okay! Not asking to win or anything, but hopefully we can put in a round that isn't too bad. Also, I really hope I can get pictures so you all can see my amazing girl. :D Not that you all care, but it's like vacation pictures - even though nobody really likes looking at them, you always do. It is a Fact of Life. XD
