So writing this collab fanfic has got me thinking about a lot of things, Discworld-wise. The-Midget-Bee, the lovely person I'm writing with, if British. I am most definitely not. I'm doing stuff while writing that I've never done before (or at least I'm noticing it now and I wasn't before, I dunno). For example, I'm getting all tangled up in the

I've never, ever been able to pin down a voice for Angua. Really annoys me....
Moist always wants to sound American in my head. I really think that's because I've mentally tied him to all of those old-movie American con-man types, like the Music Man and such.... ^_^

Moist is def. a character that comes out so old-timey American in my head that it makes me laugh. Kind of like those vaudeville guys in Family Guy. XD Which I guess is what you're talking about, but I don't know because I've never watched the Music Man (embarassed to admit it - who hasn't seen that?!).
It's cool that you read Pterry aloud. I would love to do that but I always end making stuff up and giving people hilarious voices so that eventually everyone's too distacted from the story. XD I get a little carried away.

Carrot sounds... Welsh XD
Sybil sounds like Emma Thompson, seriously. Specially her mode of speech in Sense & Sensibility.
Nobby sounds like Bill Nighy in Love Actually XD
And yes, Vetinari sounds like Stephen, hahahaha.
Vimes? I could say Nigel, but that wouldn't be entirely fair :P Apart from his chums in the UK, I'm probably the only person to hear him on a regular basis...
Drumknott is a difficult one. I'd say it's close to what Stephen does for him in the Going Postal audio.
As for the trousers/pants controversy... don't feel uncomfortable about it, just be consistent. Imagine what it's like for people learning English to come across such a difference in meaning..!

I think I'm just gonna stick with pants. I've always done so before, so . . . hopefully it'll be ok and I won't really confuse everyone lol. Being American in a woah British fandom sometimes is perplexing cause sometimes I'm just like "Wait . . . hang on . . . I don't get it." lol Maybe I'm just slow. :D

Well, just as long as you know it's perfectly valid to say that Vetinari wears pants under his robes... after all, he does, unless he wears his robes as Scotsmen wear their kilts... ;)
