Last Night I Learned:
Osetra in the Gas Lamp has crazy amazing food and a wine wall! It's literally a huge lit-up wine cooler that covers an entire 2-story wall and has a special wine-getter that hooks herself up to a harness and raises and lowers herself along the wall to collect different bottles. Very cool. For my meal, I shared with my family chilli tomato calamari, potato and French green bean salad, lobster and crab stuffed shrimp, and chocolate cake that they brought out for my mom's birthday. I ordered a lot knowing my dad would eat more of my meal than me, which he did lol. I went to Jamba Juice afterwards so we could get our parking validated at Horton Plaza, and the guys who made my smoothie totally hit on me, which I think is utterly hilarious.
As we walk into Horton Plaza:
Mom: "Who do you think is that statue of over there?"
Dad: "Alonzo Horton. Gee, and you just think I fell off of the cabbage truck didn't you?"
Me: "Says the man who thought "Duck Salad" was vegetarian."
I <3 my parents.
