Another weird out-of-order day - having not done enough food shopping on Thursday I had to do it yesterday morning. And then do Friday morning things in the afternoon. I coulda done the shopping in the afternoon, but we were forecast snow & I figured I'd rather be in while that was happening. In the end we only got about a millimeter of snow ( Read more... )

It was Furry last night - third of three in a row, but the first one we could make it to (being as we were in Macclesfield on 23rd & my parents were here on the 29th). I made my perl program work! It processes all the data now (though it still barfs on names with colour codes in - my regular expressions are clearly not quite right ... and I've just this second realised what the problem is (I think, haven't tested it yet, obviously) - my regular expression grabs the name with (\w+) and there are ^s in the colour ( Read more... )

Last night was Furry or 'Fury' as the list of events outside The Venue spelt it ... you'd think if you were going to put up a list of all the nights in your nightclub for the next three months you'd do a better job of proof-reading it, really. We went for lunch at Pizza Express on Friday - the atmosphere's not actually as nice during the day as it is in the evening, too many wee children, but we still had a nice lunch :) After that we headed back up to the house via Sainbury's as I'd failed to find some of the food I needed on Thursday - and not long after we got home marble and pyc arrived.
