I like back roads.

1.) Research candidates. I know, I know, I should've done this ages ago. But I didn't so I'll probably be up all night so I can vote tomorrow. This has possibilities. I can go earlyearly to vote, skip the crowds, get breakfast, so to work early, get some extra hours in? :P Aren't I optimistic?

2.) Write Nana. She sent me a letter for my birthday, I really need to respond.

3.) Write Maw and Paw. I might as well, while I'm writing the grandparents.

4.) Schedule an appointment with the dentist and eye doctor. :( I don't want glasses. But I gosh darn it, this bad eye sight thing is getting effing annoying.

5.) Clean my room. ALWAYS this. :P If I just finish up some laundry, I should be good.

6.) Go shopping for Athena's birthday present. I know, her birthday was yesterday. I suck. :( I consider the trip to the ABC store part of her gift, though. :P

7.) Take pictures of the autumn prettiness while it's around.

8.) Knit, knit, knit.

9.) Read, read, read. :)

10.) Head start on Christmas shopping?

11.) Get my oil changed. I don't think I'm going to bug James about it this time. I still need to get myself over to State's bookstore and get him a croakie. :P

12.) Get myself over to State's bookstore and get James a croakie. :P

13.) Have a roomie outing in celebration of Athena's birthday and Lety's half-marathon.

So, my original plans for researching candidates did NOT work out. I did NOT stay up all night gathering data from all available resources to make a completely informed decision.

I fell asleep.

Seriously, I could kick myself sometimes.

I woke with a start and before I even looked at the clock, I said, "SPIT SPIT SPIT." It was 6:30. Booooooooooo.

Anyway, so I did what I could. I gathered some information and made some informed decisions. But some positions I just didn't vote for. If I couldn't find information that really didn't differentiate one candidate for another, I just left it blank. I'm not going to vote for someone just because they have a male/female name or just because they're running for this party or that. -shrug- And I'm okay with that. Yes, I suck for not having figured out who I should vote for beforehand, but c'est la vie.

So, I voted for people I felt pretty confident in, and I voted for people that I figured were the "lesser or two (or more) evils". I voted for republicans, and libertarians, and even a democrat! (Not because I necessarily agreed with all her stands on things, but because she has a decent background and really seemed to know what she was doing. Plus, the things I was passionate about that she disagreed with, she didn't necessarily have control over anyway.)

And I got an "I Voted" sticker. Booyah.

On the way to work, there was crazy mad stand-still traffic on the beltline. So I had an adventure trying to work my way around Raleigh WITHOUT using the beltline. And consequently, I crossed OVER the beltline (and its stand-still traffic) about 3 times. :P

ANYWAY.

So that's one thing off my list. Maybe if I make myself do at least one thing off my list per day, I'll feel better about myself. :P

to-do list, voting, politics, traffic
