When: Not long after this agreement.
What: Having not involved himself in human sports in quite some time, Eric thinks some research is in order. He certainly wouldn't want to make a fool of himself.
Eric, of course, had alterior motives for signing up to play in these humans' little game. There was always more to such things than a bit of simple fun, and he wanted to use the social function to his own ends. It would be an easy way to discover the identities of many of the other individuals of the hotel, not to mention the relationships between them. If he wanted to gain any sort of foothold in this place, he would have to mingle among them to learn more.
Though, he hadn't been lying when he'd said that he found some enjoyment in exercise. There was always that.
Still, he wasn't about to show up to this game without a knowledge of the rules. Rugby was a relatively new game as far as history was concerned, and Eric had lost interest in flighty human activities long before then. He would have to read up on the sport before playing.
It took him some time to find the library, but he was quickly impressed by the number of volumes it held. It would take him some time to find what he was looking for, but there was no doubt that he would find something to aid him.
